Jury Duty

Please pass this on to everyone in your email address book. It is spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call.

Most of us take the summons for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip out on their civic duty, that a new and ominous kind of scam has surfaced. Fall for it and your identity could be stolen, reports CBS. In this con, someone calls pretending to be a court official who threateningly says a warrant has been issued for your arrest because you didn't show up for jury duty. The caller claims to be a jury coordinator. If you protest that you never received a summons for jury duty, the scammer asks you for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Sometimes they even ask for credit card numbers. Give out any of this information and .... Bingo! Your identity has just been stol en. The scam has been reported so far in 11 states. This scam is particularly insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try to bully people into giving information by pretending they're with the court system. The FBI and the federal court system have issued nationwide alerts on their web sites, warning consumers about the fraud.

The broken Camera project.

Ok so I belong to Freecycle . I've can't pass up free stuff even if it's a bit broken. So this guy I know offers a digital camera except the images are all purple.. well that doesn't bother me ! I figure this just gives me more of a Chanceplaying around today, I MIGHT see if I can get the camera fixed but it's great for really artsy fartys stuff.

so here's the stuff I produced today.

New Custom LBE ( uglyduckling dolls)

This months Nibblefest theme was gnarled trees, so of course I had to make a “big eyed” tree, and somehow a Blythe style girl made her way into the painting. Sometimes my muses take over.

This little Gothic witch looks like she worried about one of the larger witches traveling above her. Someone ought to take her home and keep her safe.

This is an original painting, not a print.

IT'S NIBBLEFEST TIME AGAIN!

what is Nibblefest you ask? well nibblefst is a monthly themed contest on ebay. Search NFAC and find lots of GREAT art starting at .99 the person with the most unique bid is the winner, but the real winner is the people who BUY the art! It's agreat way to collect establish and emergent artist at EXTREMELY reasonable prices!

this months theme was EYE BALLS... eek! What the heck was I going to do with eyeballs??? Usually I paint my Blythe inspired big eyed girls, but that didn't seem right for this theme, so off I went on another of my weird tangents..devils and imps, cute ones who usually won puppies or other NON DEVIL type pets or friends.

Meet Raven the first doll in a limited series of 6 for my Carnival of lost souls. Raven began life as a Victorian style ceramic doll. She was completely stripped and he old hair removed. She was them primed painted in her new Goth burlesque attire, then completely re wigged and her locks styled.

Raven is a One OF A Kind DISPLAY DOLL, she will have some imperfections, as is expected with any hand painted piece. While she is poseable she would not like too much playtime.

Like me, slightly sullen Raven prefers to sit on her ledge and think her own thoughts. She will however keep you company and hold your secrets safe.

She comes with her own ACEO/ART CARD the card is numbered 1 of 6 on the back. The dolls and cards are limited to 6

"My Little Nightmare" based on the My Little Ponies produced by Hasbro originally in the 1980's, and Inspired by Lisa Petrucci a friend of mine, and artist who participated in the "Pony Project" earlier this year where artist made one of a kind art ponies from blanks.

My Little Nightmare is not a truly "bad Ass" Pony, but a bit of frippery almost frightening, but holding on to the whimsy that the original toys inspired.
also inspired by my need for all things TIKI.

Rainy days and tuesdays....

well I'm bored out of my mind how about you?
the kids had blast on halloween and I'm up to my elbows in candy, so I guess I shouldn't complain... but chances are I will I cannot get motivated to paint.
arrgh

WELL it's finally here Halloween!
things are going bumpy as usualy , the kids are all hyped up on sugar & they havent' even started trick or treating yet, the house is decorated, but a mess ... then again my house is always a mess!
