New Sketches for new Ideas

Been working up some sketches in the last little while. Ideas for wierd and strange characters who tend to appear to me out of now where. Feel free to comment on anything you like or dislike!

I have been working so much at the jobby job I haven't had time to paint or do much of anything except hit twitter in the morning. I finally managed to work on some Original art Cards, these are 2.5 x3.5 painted on stretched canvas with acrylics.

Ok another part of my weirdness. Not really art related, but then again she IS wearing her artists garb.

She arrived from Rising today! My daughter and I have been playing all morning. Olivia is my alter ego.

My latest in the dime store dollies project. This was one of those truly ugly Bratz baby rip off dolls. Her head and limbs kept falling off. I remounted the head using elastics around the neck knob to hold it firm, and glued the arms and legs into place using a type of white glue, but much stronger.

She was primed and them hand painted with artists acrylics. I painted her T-shirt and added little "dance pants” striped stockings and Mary-Jane shoes in paint.

I really like the way her eyes turned out this time.

My tiny monsters. These are acrylic on old children blocks. The blocks came out of the school and are about 60 years old. They have been lightly sanded then 2 coats of gesso then paint. I still have to seal them in gloss, but other than that they are finished.
