I've been fiddling around with my NEW Etsy Shop. I decided to change the name of my shop. I'm trying to re-brand my work with my own name instead of wickeddollz. There's a soft pron site using that name and I'm getting tired of emails asking me if such & such a model is going to be featured. snerk.

My daughters been home sick, but I haven't been called in for work at the jobby job yet this week so thats a relief. It;s also afforded me the time to actually work on all this stuff.

This was fun. My shoes are part of my Identity. I'm enjoying looking at everyone's view of themselves. :D

If you follow my blog you'll also have seen my Lil' monsters :D I'm hoping to have these crazy little characters ready for Etsy, or possibly Ebay, (Ebay.ca is having a 5 cent listing day today. But I'm not sure if I can get it together to list them :/ ) I'm having fun with them too



I also continued the ZOMBIE CHICKEN joke thats been going on over at the EBSQ forum ( sorry the jokes in the members section) with a quick photoshop zombified chicken


SO I'll be around today. Hopefully making and listing more art, generally taking care of a sick and drink far too much coffee.

My tiny monsters. These are acrylic on old children blocks. The blocks came out of the school and are about 60 years old. They have been lightly sanded then 2 coats of gesso then paint. I still have to seal them in gloss, but other than that they are finished.

Simple things people say around me leads me to ideas. Friends of my husband and mine were all wolfing down the devilled eggs earlier this summer, and one piped up with.
I guess we should call our selves the "devilled egg gang" which lead me to this whole idea of a weird-ohs big daddy roth style gang on biker eggs. He's still too cute right now

Hey I painted something today!

Well other than my pet portrait that I'm still working on I have done NOTHING this Summer

I got this exquisite purse from ... you guessed it the Auntie, but she had glued some ribbon & rhinestones on it, which left marks when I removed them SO I painted my version of my most favourite painting Van Gogh's "Starry Starry Night"

I think it turned out nice :D
Not sure if I'll keep it or sell it though.

no colour in the iris yet but I think it's a bit more even. It's still wider, but once the shading is in the corners & the lashes are on it should help that

OK so first let me say I am not a parent of the bubble wrap persuasion. I do not keep my kids so close that they never get to experience riding the bike down to a friends or off to the park.

That being said last night I spent and hour driving around looking for my son who "disappeared" on his bike around 4:30. I'm used to him taking off , thats cool.I have told him and told him IF he goes to a friends please call me and let me know where you are., so as 6:30 rolled around with still no sign of him , I started by calling everyone I could think of asking if he had showed up.

NADDA no one had seen him.

By about 7:15 I got in the car and started diving around the streets where I know his friends live.No Bike no sign of him.

By 7:45 I started going places I didn't THINK he would go by where he MIGHT have gone. Back to the school to the play ground area behind the school, over to streets where friends are but he rarely visits.

By 8:00pm the street lights started coming on. At this point I've begun to loose my cool. EVERY freakin book or TV show or movie I have ever seen with child abduction in it starts playing through my head. A nose came out of my throat I don't think I've ever made before.

By 8:15 I called home ( again) still no Taylor, Hubby can hear I'm starting to lose it and tells me to come home. I am figuring out which is the most recent picture I have of Tay is, trying to remember exactly what he was wearing, how much he weighs how tall he is.

2min later my cell rings and he's home. (THANK GOD!)

He was at a friends forgot to call didn't remember the time. WHAT PARENT LETS A KID STAY TILL 8pm without CALLING HOME????

Tay was upset too, I think it totally shocked him how scared I was. Like I said I don't get scared about this stuff. I don't think he'll ever forget to call home again. No one was mad at him we wwere just scared sh*tless

This is my secret garden painting. The fairy is looking for frogs in the pond. This came from an original photograph of my daughter wearing her wings while playing. It is 8 x 10 oil on canvas. The canvas is not wrapped and should be framed.

April 4, 2001) was an artist and cartoonist who created the hot-rod
icon Rat Fink and other extreme characters.

This months Nibblefest theme was Rodents, and I thought to my self


"Self, what are you going to do with that?!"

I'm not really a cute story book mouse type painter.Then I remembered one of my childhood heroes. "RAT FINK! and the man who created him.

SO, in tribute to Ed Roth, who gave me hours of pleasure not
only as a child but also as an adult (I still have some Weirdos models
in my basement waiting to be painted as we speak) , I give you the Big
Daddy Roth & Rat Fink portrait.

This is an original oil painting , working from black and
white and interpreting what colours should be there I hope I managed to
get the feeling of those crazy hot-rod beatnik days!

Roth & Rat Fink have been painted on a wooden floor board
pulled out of an over 100 year old factory which has been gessoed to
protect the painting, I have left the side UNPAINTED .I wanted it to
have that homemade feeling so typical of hot-rods of the day!

WICKED_DOLLZ AUCTION

so what did the school do when someone pushed and hit my son?
1/2 day in school suspension
1/2 day ( the afternoon is a whopping 2 hrs btw) home suspension
he can't go to the badminton tournament ,apparently a big deal to him...
I've been fighting all morning with the school about this, hearing about their "restorative consequences" for this child.
How he will have to brain storm about what he did wrong blah blah fucking blah.

I am so incredibly hurt and pissed off I have bent over backwards for that school and this fucking kid was back there before 3:30 by himself to pick up his stuff, his parents were suppose to come with him, but did they NO...so all this "co-operation" from his parents is suppose to be done too...will it? no. thats pretty obvious.
Is this the first time this kid has done anything like this? no.
I know a parent who finally moved their child to another school because of this kid.

smirked at me in the hall when I passed him this morning


So fuck you school , fuck you very much for all the support and help you have been, glad I've gone out of my way to help you at every turn only to get shit on for my efforts, glad my son will get to be in the same hallway as this kid without seeing any consequences that kid had , even though he's been "consequenced "to death by the fucking school.

Good to know when you have an identified child and work really hard to make both the school and your child happy you are so richly rewarded.
